VSI Workshops: The Core of Our Services

Vocational Services, Inc. operates three workshops, one in North Kansas City and two in Liberty.

These workshops provide area and national businesses with critical outsourceing services such as packaging and assembly.

Most importantly, they also provide employment opportunities for nearly 200 workers with developmental disabilities. The role of the workshops is complex.

The shops in Liberty and North Kansas City offer the opportunity to work in a supervised environment while achieving the financial and personal rewards that only employment can equal. VSI's third workshop, the Liberty Workshop No. 3, provides workers who desire the challenge an opportunity to work side-by-side with other community employees.

Workers from all three locations also have the opportunity to apply for "outside" employment through VSI's enclave work teams or the more individualized supported employment program. All of these programs are tied closely to VSI's accredited Program Services which ensure each individual achieves to their maximum.

In addition, VSI's experienced management and supervisory teams consistently go "the extra miles" to ensure that workers options include the right mix of opportunity and assistance.

Vocational Services, Inc. is recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). The Arizona-based organization is considered the nation's leading accreditation agency for rehabilitation services. VSI has earned CARF's highest rating, a three-year accreditation.
