Outstanding Video Provides Comprehensive View of Valley Industries, Missouri Workshops

KETC/Channel 9 public media in St. Louis recently broadcast an outstanding video on Valley Industries in Hazelwood. The broadcast does an excellent job of describing not only this Hazellwood, Mo., organization, but workshops all across Missouri.

Workshop Manager Jim Guyre provided an excellent overview of this and other workshops and how their supports and philosophy help workers with developmental disabilities. But some of the most moving comments came from workers themselves.

KETC/Channel 9 also noted several important points about this and other workshops: they have to be seen to be understood.

"Where we normally get 63 percent we
get over 99 percent with Valley Industries."
